Track the decision, not just the price
A renewal list that only records cost can still fail because it does not say what to do next. Add the owner, renewal date, billing period, reason for keeping it, and the trigger for cancellation or downgrade.
For shared household or team subscriptions, note who actually uses the service. A low price can still be waste if nobody uses it, and a high price may be justified if it replaces several smaller tools.
- Record the next renewal date and cancellation deadline.
- Separate monthly, annual, trial, and bundled charges.
- Mark services that need export or backup before cancellation.
- Keep login, payment, and owner details out of public notes.
